I experienced what you are.  I was on the couch or in bed a TON during the first 12 weeks (I had incivek too).  After the 12 weeks I was able to do a little more but not much.  I was able to work and that was about it.  I quit making plans with people.  My  husband went to the grocery store a lot.  I sometimes could go but not a lot.  I finally surrendered and took this time to really take care of myself.  I learned a lot during this time about a lot of things.  I'm 3 weeks post treatment and this week I am finally getting some energy...not a lot...but it's a big step for me!
Keep us posted on how you're doing...you are not alone :)

I know how you feel.  The first 15 weeks were the hardest for me.  I was on triple for 12, then peg and riba for 12, it does get better when the Incivek is stopped.
At 3 months post tx I am UND and hoping for SVR.  It does get better, I am very glad to have treated and to have found this forum.
The people on here helped to keep me going when all I wanted to do was stop.  Hang in there.

@ orphanhawk re excerise - my hubby used to take me for slow walks.  On one he crossed the road and went ahead and I turned the corner - we were both looking at the ground and didn't notice we'd parted.   Of course it wasn't easy for me to look around, and when I did I had to yell out of him ... then I literally collapsed on all fours on the pavement laughing and trying to 'hold in' all that excess water I'd drunk.

@Ladyfox - I took 6 months off work, but another workmate did the tx while being a 'trainer';   he looked pale and tired and 'frenetic' - I knew it took every ounce of energy to concentrate on his role; he just slept early when he went home - he got rid of the virus.  As my lovely specialist said 'do whatever it takes'.

Hi Lady! I did receive the pm you sent with the numbers and will pm you back, but you might want to post them on the thread too, because it's good to have multiple people looking at them. I'm clearly not the most knowledgeable member of the forum (I wish I was), and I could miss things. We have some incredibly knowledgeable members here and many more extremely caring members, and most have some degree of both characteristics, but it helps a lot to recognize where each person's strength lies. You will figure it out over time.

I'm also not too familiar with the Victrelis part of the tx, as I've been on the Incivek tx, but others can help more with Victrelis-specific issues. Now I'll pm you.

I think fatigue may be the most common side effect of treatment.

Although tx makes us feel like all we want to do is lie around, I encourage everyone to try and do what exercise you can, as much or as little, when you can. It will help in the long run.
And don't forget to drink lots and lots and even more, water.

Good luck for a successful tx.

The fatigue could be from your hemoglobin. Do check on your numbers.

I found that Prilosec OTC worked great for my indigestion and acid from the meds.

Hang in there, LadyFox!  I am almost 50 yrs, myself, and on my 14 th week with Victrelis. I am tired, and have hemolytic anemia. Last time I checked, my HGB was at 9.3, but I feel it will all be worth it, to get cured, once and for all- good luck

Hi lady
If you are the same lady from the other site.
I think we are are different treatments, I am not familiar with victrulis. And from what I understood you are undetectable, that would be worth it.
welcome

Ladyfox

Do watch the hemoglobin.  It sounds like you are anemic and need to do something about it.  Are you on triple?  It makes a lot of us anemic pretty quickly.  You should probably ask your doctor for a CBC and see what that HGB is.  Believe me, I am on 39 weeks, work full time and it has been difficult.  I cannot imagine raising a child at the same time.

good luck
