New England Journal of Medicine Publishes PROVE 3 Trial Showing Telaprevir-Based Regimens Significantly Increased Sustained Viral Response (SVR) Rates in Patients Who Did Not Achieve SVR with Prior HC

http://news.moneycentral.msn.com/ticker/article.aspx?Feed=BW&Date=20100407&ID=11381405&Symbol=VRTX

Prove 3 shows they got Non responders up to 50% SVR

It also states that they will file with the FDA later this year.  A little sooner than I thought.

This is good reading

Sweet. Seems to be significantly more TX discontinuation due to side effects in the Telaprevir arms though.

The cure rate improvement is nothing short of **impressive** however.

Thanks. It was nice to see the numbers again. ;-)

~ 40% for us non responders that didn't drop 2 log. Beats < 10% previously.
This or TP with at most 8-10 years expiration date. I'm betting on Telaprevir with my fingers and toes crossed!

Help for many of us is on the way...
