Out Of Order

Hello everyone!! My stomach is out of order!  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to ease the symptoms as far as my stomach goes? I feel as though my digestion has just stopped and there is a big rock sitting in my intestions. I am bloated most of the time. I am either going non stop or I cant go at all to the restroom.  Does anyone have any experience with a colon cleanse?  I just feel so out of wack. Im in tenth week of treatment. Geno 1a. Undetected at week four. I even bought some activia hoping it will help. Any suggestions  will be greatly appreciated! Thanks all!!

Hey there!

I just wanted to say thanks a bunch for your reply!  More importantly I am writing to say WHEW Hooooooo!!!!!   Way to go, awesome, way to hang in there!!  One more shot to go, wow!  Good for you, I pray all is well for you.
As far as exercise, I am a waitress so I do walk alot. I used to run. Over the summer I ran in a 5k and a 10k but to be honest since starting tx I am just lucky to spend time with my kids, shower and make it to work! Its ok I know that I will bounce back, I will be running again in no time. I just really hate the bloating and the digestive problems. I feel pretty good today but tomorrow is shot day, so once again the cycle starts. Thanks again and may God richly bless you!!!

no offense but i think its a bit nit picky too,iv put 2 posts1 after another b4 cos iv forgotten to mention stuff in the first post,it doesnt annoy me when people do that if they have forgotten to mention something etc.

To my fathers will:i get constipated on tx alot, more so than the runs.for constipation...drinking plenty of water/fluid is key for me to be able to go to loo without bleeding etc. liquorice is gr8 to get u goin to loo and iv also read/heard etc that liquorice is good for the liver(of course in moderation though...just like everything)they even have liquorice extract in some liver tonic pills combined with other stuff like milk thistle, dandilion etc but i would not reccommend taking any liver detox pills whilst on tx,but just liquorice itself will be ok on tx.people on this forum has said tht milk thistle etc is not ok on treatment,i wish i had of known tht months ago cos i took milk thistle all the way thru till few wks ago,cos now i only have 1 more shot to go.

IMO just eat like normal healthy high fibre foods that are good for u, i wouldnt take laxitives IMO cos id b worried that the riba might just go straight thru u,just a guess though.alot has already been said that i would have said, like exersise is gr8 for gettin u goin to loo but iv found on tx i cant be bothered exersising at all,but i wish i had of forced myself too now.
when i get the runs...which is very rare.... i just stay away from the foods that make u go to loo and i usually eat cheese and low fibre foods.
congrats on the und at 4 wks, very promising,i have never heard of activia...sorry cant help there.
sorry i couldnt be of more help, but just thought id say my bit

One thing that really helped me was cutting down almost all of my sugar intake - especially high fructose corn sweetener. Exercise is also a good idea - running a few minutes helped me.

I used Activia and GoodBelly.

JD said it well.....watch carefully what you eat.  Bland is good.  Bananas are binding as well as high in potassium.

10 weeks down....good for you.  Hang in there!!!

Copyman:

Those posts you speak of are an hour apart.  Perhaps the 2nd post didn't occur to him until an hour later?  Seems kind of nit-picky ... (just sayin')

Stay away from colon cleanse products, they can be very dangerous.  For constipation, try getting some exercise, and make yourself some fresh applesauce. (I use McIntosh apples, stew them and run through foodmill, then season with nutmeg)  Drink plenty of water.

Watch out what you eat - fresh fruits and veggies are good, doughy bread and pasta and whatnot will stop up the works.  If you get the runs, try oatmeal or brown rice.  Stay away from white foods (sugar, white flour, pasta, potatoes, etc.) and smoke a little marijuana as needed to settle things down.

Good luck, and congrats on getting through 10 weeks.  You are now in the stage where a lot of people start having bad sx, try to hang in there.  Keep a close eye on your blood levels, be as active as you can, and drink lots of water.  It will help.

Out of Order!  Fine it 50 dollars and 10 days in jail!  Just kidding-Look, on Tx you will notice alot of weird symptoms.  If the activia doesn't work I hope you saved your receipts.  wouldn't use any laxatives without consulting with your Gastro or Hepatologist 1st.  Make sure you are drinking plenty of water; stopped up or not.
