PCR Positive Abnormal

What does it mean if a viral load test results are positive abnormal?
I know the positive part but what's the abnormal mean?

I just got an e-mail from my doc. He confirmed: The "abnormal" is due to the fact that "normally" this test will be "negative" if you do not have measurable virus in the bloodstream. It doesn't mean anything more than that.

He too suggested another test to be sure, this time a PCR not just a TMA.
He also mentioned a study that I may be able to get into but I can't think about that right now.

I'm not discouraged just annoyed. I know I have decompensated cirrhosis which complicates treatment.

Thanks to everyone here. I honestly couldn't have kept any degree of sanity during tx if it weren't for all of you.                             OH

Damn, will you get another follow up test just to make sure. I am so sorry to hear. This is not looking good at all as a whole, the list just keeps getting longer. Take care!
