high ast and alt levels

My AST level is 115 and my ALT level is 154.  Looks like these are very very high.  Has anyone had levels this high before and does this mean there is damage to my liver?

In cases of acute infection, live enzymes can be elevated to >10,000. I personally had ALT readings around 300 for years. You should discuss these results with your doctor, as HCA suggests. Has he/she commented on this issue yet?

HCA
They are significantly raised, but not enough to shock people on this forum.
The question is why!
Any competent doctor seeing these numbers will ( unless he knows of another cause) test for hepatitis.
If the levels remain raised for a long period there is likely to be an adverse event affecting your liver.
Surely you will have addressed these issues with doctor who ordered the test in the first place.
