I took my third shot Friday. My first shot I started showing sx within four and a half hours, with rigors (severe shaking) and fever these went away with Tylenol and this is the only shot that I’ve had sx with so far. I’ve had a headache the entire time but Tylenol again helps and work makes me not think about it so much. As far as weight loss, I‘ve lost 5lbs so far only because of the diarrhea but am hoping this will calm down as my body adjusts to the tx. My most bothersome sx has been canker sores and the bumps on my tongue. So far I have seven places in my mouth, this can make eating very painful, but I just started using a special mouthwash and I paint the sores with Kank-a before I eat. The Kank-a makes it so I can get through a meal. My goal is to lose as little weight as possible since I started txing at 100 lbs. The first time for me was very scary but with Tylenol and my new found mouthwash this seems very doable at least for now.

Don’t worry, just go with the flow and when something comes up do what’s best for you and you’ll be fine. PS drink lots and lots of water. I’ve increased my water intake to 96oz a day and I feel this is helping with the flu type sx.

Kym,

Took my first shot Friday evening.  Woke up Sat morning with 100.2 fever.  The highest it's gotten was 100.8. Took a couple of tylenol and went to work.  Probably should not have worked but I promised a co-worker I'd fill in for her.  Sat evening went well, still ached and some fever but went to bed early with plenty of water and a movie.  Today still feel like yuk (fever 99.3) but I truly thought I'd be a lot worse.   I do feel fatigued more than I have in the past.   Some people breeze through -  others suffer.  I hope I'm one of the lucky ones.  I have this attitude that as long as I can treat I will get past the hurdles.  Some things happen that are out of our control but I think attitude has a lot to do with it.  Best of luck to you and don't let it beat you down.
Take good care

I see my first response didn't go through.    I've taken my shots on Thursday night and I don't have to work again until Monday.  I try to rest and sleep as much as I can on Friday and Saturday.  Have done a lot of reading on the weekends.  Take tylenol before the shot.   Good Luck  Debbie

By the way,  the weight loss has not been a side effect I got and it was the only one I was looking forward to.   Debbie
