Playing Jokes with Officemates

Hello, I have read that hepatitis C can live in the environment for at least 16 hours but not longer than 4 days.
In your opinion how likely is it to get infected with this virus through environmental contacts? Do I need to be worried every time I get a cut out in public?

Yesterday i was in our office trying to make jokes to everyone...when i got home that i had dried blood in my fingernail.. and i have a wound near my fingernail.

Do i need to be concern in this matter?

These worries that you have seem more like anxiety, and compulsive thoughts, rather then you actually being at risk for Hep C.
Many people come on here, who have these types of disturbing and preoccupying thoughts:  there obsession is that they may catch a bad disease.
The good news is that there are many new cures coming, that will completely eliminate Hep C, and it will be a much easier Treatment then what most people  are suffering thru, on here.
These type of questions may be taken as upsetting, to people who suffer from Hep C.  Hep C is not caught from the casual contact that you are describing~   Your symptoms are more like Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, which is another tragic disease

This is just my honest opinion,  you have nothing to worry about.
I worked with a woman for 15 years who had HCV I did not contract from her
My children lived with me all their lives never got it.
I hope this helps some how
