taking prescription drugs for backpain

hi I'm new here glad to have find this
I've being hep C 17 years now. but 10 years  ago I had a back operations my lumbar, ever since the doctor give me a variety of painkillers from oxicontin to tramake and valium, now I've stop the oxicontin and I'm down 3 valium a day from 5 so now is a 5mg twice a day and tramake 100mg twice a day. now the doc every 6 month's he blood test me for liver, but now my body is addicted to meds the summers is here so I hope to get off 100mg of tramake I so painful despite my bone and chills my liver hurts when I cut down each time as I was before one 100mg 4 time a day, I had a vaccine for A and B I never yet had jaundice thank God but the hospital can put me on that interferon stuff be house of medication does anybody knows if I can help my liver while try to cut down on meds???

Hi where are you located? Do you know about the medicines approved in the last couple of years that can cure hep c without interferon?

One of the drugs is harvoni used to treat genotype 1, 4, 5, or 6 other genotypes use different treatments.

Depending on your genotype you could just need to take 1 pill a day for 12 weeks and be cured of hep c forever. Even newer drugs are also coming soon but current odds of cure are better than 95%.

The best way to help your liver is to get treated and cured of hep c.
