pot/appetite/treatment

i;m getting close to tx and i sometimes wonder if i'm going to have trouble eating..i smoke pot once in a while..really not much at all but i do know some things about it...for one it can make you want to eat..i would like to find a pot that doesn't give me much anxiety if i was to need it to be able to eat healthy foods while on tx...so i thought i should start looking for some now instead of waiting untill i'm on tx...finding the right pot would be important to me....i think i'll be going into tx at just about the right weight so i won't have much to lose...i know over the years folks have talked about this although what i want to know is do you guys use pot to be able to eat a more heathy diet......billy

Many people take anti depressants other drugs to help them through treatment. Some aren't great for us.

I think smoking some pot if it helps you through tx is fine. It's true that there are some risks, but if you are moderate about how much you use I doubt it will harm you much.

Use a vaporizer to smoke it which will reduce the carcinogens. I haven't smoked for a long time, but the pot is so strong these days that it doesn't take much to get the effect anyway.

smoking pot is not good - combustion by products are carginogenic and toxic to the liver - ingestion is a better method - however its possible to be infected with fungus mold fecal material pesticides herbicides etc etc - will cooking eliminate danger from these contaminates - probably not - maybe some - it may make some more dangerous - even medicinal mj can be contaminated

Pot definitely is not only good for stimulating your appetite but also it would help you with the naseau as everyone knows.  It definitely is a lifesaver for some on treatment who need an alternative to big expensive medicines. Of course, there are articles pro and against whether it causes fibrosis I am sure so use it wisely and I am sure you will be fine. Nobody is advocating for illegal drug use but......hopefully you are in one of the legal states ;)

Dont get in trouble - you might not even need it in the end you will never know until you do treatment itself.

From what I have read on this forum, it is kind of evenly divided between the people who loose weight and the ones who gain weight. Everybody is different. I have noticed that my nausea gets worse the emptier my stomach gets so I haven't had trouble not eating healthily... I've had trouble keeping myself from eating easy stuff like cookies and such to keep the nausea away until I can fix something healthy.

Pot must be used during TX in moderation, not everyday because it can stimulate viral cell and protein replication.  There are many studies that say "do not use it everyday". Use it two days a week, maybe three every other week, NO MORE..  It not only helps appetite, but helps with the many symptoms.  Helps with headaches, aches, brain fog and depression.

I live in CA so we can go to pharmacies to select medical Marijuana, the selection is great, however I only take a few pipe hits at most, it keeps anxiety well controlled.
Good luck.
