Rash??/

Hey Everyone!!!  I have hep c geno type 1a.  I have been on tx since oct 1.  2 weeks ago my dr took me off meds for 2 weeks due to white blood cell count being so low.  My hair is coming out and I have this terrible rash all over.  This past 2 weeks I have really started to feel like my old self.  IDK In a way I don't want to start back tx but i do know that with my geno type the dr want to treat the full 48 wks.  I go back to dr this wed and I will start back on the meds becouse I really want to heal my liver.  I guess my question is what can i do about hair loss and this rash?

Also I guess i just needeed to get how i was felling out.  Im 3 yrs sober but cannot talk about my hep c with anyone except my sponcer and you guys.  Hope you all are doing great.

Hi Sally,
Sorry to hear about your troubles.  You are a trooper for hanging in there, but you can do it!  I didn't have the rash too bad but I know a lot of folks got help from their Docs with meds.  Have you tried Benadryl or even any creams or lotions like Gold Bond?
I am in my last week of treatment and I lost a lot of hair throughout.  The worst is at the point your at, 24 weeks for me, around those few weeks. Although it got a little better, I still lose some hair everyday (I put pictures on my page).  Even with all that, it's already coming back in.  I have looked everywhere and i really believe that there is  nothing you can do to stop it.  There are things that help a little, like washing very infrequently (1x a week).  My scalp is so dry most times I just rinse and use conditioner.
Anyway, maybe others will see your post and offer some better advice about the rash.
I hope this next phase will go better for you.
Are you taking the Neuprogen? (sorry, may have spelled that wrong).
Best of luck to you and you should hang around more often, we all get it and understand what you are going through.
