Rash Relief Rx

Hey All,

I wanted to share some new finds that may help with the various rashes we get on tx.  Kinda weird in that some of mine were worse post tx.

For instance, it was like my head was suddenly allergic to my hair.  I got dermatitis pretty bad on my forehead.  My derma gave me Desonide Lotion 0.05% to use there and on my neck also.  Lala and I got these hicky looking things there during tx..and mine never went away This stuff works pretty good for that. I also used it on the itchy patches from my injection sites.

For that red burning eye rash....she gave me Atopiclair for that area. Wish I had known about that around week 1 or so.  Big help.  And formulated for the eye area so ya won't burn your eyes on top of everything else.

And lastly....my lips got really chapped and irritated post tx.  She gave me Desonide Ointment for that as well.

She also told me to go back on the Atarax at night.  I had stopped immediately post tx--just wanted to be done with taking meds.  Wasn't such a good idea though.

I just wanted to add these meds to the list of suggestions for anyone who is not getting good relief from OTC products.

Wishing everyone well....and SVR for us all

Thanks for the info on skin problem. It couldnb't have been more timely now that I've developed the red eyes and itchy creeping crud on my elbows. Is the Atopiclair also OTC? I tried eye drops (Genteal), but they seem to irritate them even more.

Thanks again.....Pam

All my dermatology stuff and hair loss got worse the last week of TX and the month or so following EOT, also.  Thanks for sharing your doctor's recs.  They are new to me and good to know.

Sorry Iz that you are still going through these post tx annoyances. It must be hard to deal with all this krap and itches. And more meds.... Yikes

Hope you get a break form all this soon.

Love, Marcia
