I am stage 3 geno 1a. i have a similar symptom mostly on my legs, and it's called purpura. my platelet count is 96,000, and from what i read, it's the cause.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purpura

Hepatitis C increased risk for immune thrombocytopenic purpura

I also experience a hive-like rash on my body called Urticaria. From what i have read, it is caused by an excess of bile salts being absorbed by the skin...Itchy as anything.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Jenny! I would love to think this is heat. I need  dr. to look at it. This is pretty bad. I have been on my feet a lot and I have noticed my ankles will actually sweat. I'm going to soak them and see if it helps.

Hi Cindy. Without seeing them, nevermind the fact that I am not a doctor, it is pretty hard to know. But, I have had little tiny red dots on my feet. It usually happens when the weather is warm and I am standing on my feel  a lot. It is a little bit of leakage from the blood vessels that happens when they dilate to keep a person's body temperature cool in warm weather. My doc says it is nothing to worry about and is not connected to the hep C.
