last day of incivek now what

I have one more day of incivek. Well actually tomorrow morningThursday is my last dose. Don't ask why, I started my drugs after the doctor gave me my first shot of pegasy's on the last appointment on a thursday. He didn't tell me any different and it didn't seem to be a big deal to him.

Then I will to for my 12th week blood test this Thursday morning. Can I now change my  Ribravirin dose to 7 am and 3 pm so I can sleep later. I was doing 6 and 2 with the incivek and trying to keep the doses together so I could do the incivek at 10 and be done.

Can I also eat what I want now? Have a meal and not count fat. I miss eating my cereal in the morning or a donut without having to see if it has 20 grams of fat. We now live in a fat free world is what the last 12 weeks have taught me. I just want to eat a meal or a sandwich without 4 slices of cheese or an avacado which I've grown to hate and I'm throwing out every jar of peanut butter in the garbage.

I want a chicken sandwich or a dish of pasta without counting the fat. Can I now do that or am I still in fat hell. A baked potato or some macaroni salad. You get the idea. I just want to eat without counting fat. Can I do that now???????

the one i liked to get rid of was the 10pm....and no more eating fat at night for me....i noticed a difference the 1st day....on the 2nd day i don't have that feeling that someone just slammed me in the side of my head...i think in time they might be finding out 10 weeks is better...i eat my riba when i want to...3 at about 8 am...3 at about 2 pm...by the end of the weekend i'll bet you feel a lot better....billy

I will ask, but I think I'll ask the pegasy's nurse. My doctor is good but he doesn't know the simple stuff.

It will be interesting to if the sides let up. I want to get back to work, it will be interesting to see what drug is keeping me down. I'll be able to do the 24 weeks, only 12 more to go without incivek. It's the 48 weeks that I'm suppose to do. I'm a cc, treatment naive, but I have cirrhosis. I've decided I will do the 48 weeks because it has such a high percentage for a cure, but only if my life function levels come back. They don't really have enough data in my mind for cirrhotics and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone, but for myself I feel I have an SVS rate with being a ILB28 CC and being treatment naive and hopefully my 12Th week coming out undetectable all will give me a higher percentage. Each one of those things raise my chances. !2 more weeks to decide.

you should be able to change your times, but ask your Dr. I actually forgot to take my riba at 2 am with my incivek. My nurse told me at 10 am that morning to take it then and just change the times to 10 am and 10 pm. i can't wait to be off the incivek myself...19 more days...ugh. Good luck to you ;)

It will be interesting to see if the side effects lesson once you are just on the other two meds.  I am sure it will be easier .   Does it look like you will be able to do the 24 weeks?

Yes you can unless of course you are watching fat grams for keeping a healthy diet

Yes you can do that now.  You want to take the ribavirin with food, preferably something with a little higher fat content than say pretzels and fruit juice but you don't need that 20 grams of fat after stopping Incivek.
