My question is what is the difference between Relapse and Reinfection after Successful HCV treatment? and which one has the highest frequency of occurrence?
Thanks for your comment. i have also read an article and it states
" From time to time, people have elevated liver enzymes. There are many causes of this, such as drugs, alcohol, fatty liver, toxins, etc. When elevated enzymes occur in patients who have cleared HCV, the initial reaction may be to wonder if the virus is back. This is unlikely and may be ruled out with an HCV viral load test. Your medical provider will need to diagnose the cause of the elevated enzymes."
and what ever you said agrees with this statement...
My best answer would be no. I have never read any study that would indicate svr's durability being effected by anything accept reinfection.
Hello.
I am an SVR for about 8 years...last PCR done a week ago which is again negative..I have certain queries regarding to the status of SVR.. My concern is that whether the use of different medicines like antibiotics bring back the HCV virus...??????and i am personally taking some herbal medicine ( a form of crushed powder) for about five years for my stomach issues... which has sometimes caused my LFTs bit high... ( i did check my LFTs while i was taking this herbal medicine... slightly elevated ).. and sometimes i got worried that use of this herbal medicine might have brought back the HCV virus.. but my SVR status is still maintained.. so my question is when SVR is maintained .. is it affected by the use of some drugs???
" fatigue, full body pains and sometimes indigestion "
After living 8 years virus free I would maybe suggest to look at other possibilities that might be causing your troubles. They are pretty general symptoms..... I mean I get that sometimes just from having jet lag....

My concern is that if you have truly cleared HCV virus (being SVR) and you are living virus free then why sometimes you feel fatigue, full body pains and sometimes indigestion as well..???? and i do face these symptoms to over short intervals of time .. so is this common to people who are SVR ? or is this a matter of concerned?
Thanks willbb... stay bless and be happy... :))
Thanks Susan for your comment...:)))
Thanks Bali for your reply.. GOD bless you ...:)))
I agree with Bali - could be as simple as exercise raising your LFT's. BTW, congrats on beating the virus.
When you are cured you are cured. Liver enzymes like most bloods fluctuate it is normal and 10 points is nothing , I get that from vigorous exercising...lol.
