Shame, shame, shame...

... on you if you haven’t sent a letter to your congressman/woman yet about HCV awareness. Suzie left a template to use in this thread:

Gov't Funding/Re: Sharing Cosmetics

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/792832

It’s really easy to do; just send an e-mail to show your support. If you don’t know who your senator is, just click on this link:

http://www.senate.gov/

and then click on “find your senator” in the drop down box near the top of the page. Each senator has an e-mail box in their site; just cut and pate the template and off you go :o). This only takes five minutes to do; and your letter might make a big difference to someone down the road.

Write the letter, then let Suzie know in her post.

Take care, all—

Bill

I would gladly join you all, if I lived in the US... So instead I am wishing you good luck with creating this awareness in your country.

You are all in my prayers.

Thanks Bill. Bug, you're right, I probably could have worded that title better. The fact that the discussion started in the Cosmetics thread was what made me do that. I can see where it is confusing. Sorry. Thanks for writing to the senators and personalizing the letter to fit you.

I read this "shame" post before I opened the original. I really didn't get the "cosmetics" wording in Jennypenny's post, I'm glad you used the s- word to draw me in.
When I wrote my letter, I asked for additional funding and didn't specify an amount, although I used each reason funding was needed. I wanted to make it sound a little more like my letter, and I closed citing specific examples of hepatitis and how it's affected my life.....a friend who lost a son at a young age, and the many patients I see that have a hep c diagnosis on their chart. Thanks again for the heads up,
Take care friend

Okay I will do it tonight.  My senator is going to sick of hearing from me, as I am always writing him about something.  Hope he doesn't push the ignore button on me.
