Blood Results

I have had hep c for @ least 20 years. Been thru 2 rounds of therapy - non responder 12 weeks.
I have blood results that of course are not normal. I was wondering if any-one can help me figure where I'm at liver-wise. 2 years ago Fibrosis 2 or 3 out of 4.
Iron Ferratin is 1150 or so, yes, 1150
Platelets are 47 000
Red Cell Volume > High
Loss of skin pigmentation
Muscle Loss

Hello
Thank You for your comments ! !
I'm a genotype 1 and went thru 12 weeks and am a non-responder.
My ALT AST are around 300.
The fibrosis resaults are from 2 years ago from a biopsy.
I have to find a new Liver Specialist because I get NO straight answers from this one.
As I said I've been thru 2 rounds of treatment both stopped at 12 weeks.
I asked the doctor if I should get rid of some of the iron and he told me it's not in my liver.
I am worried because he is doing nothing, that there is nothing that CAN be done.
Going to see a hemotoligist (<< when ??) sometime.
Already shopping for another liver dr ! ! !

If you are indeed in Canada, whereabouts?  I'm about an hour from Toronto in Ontario.

If I read you right, you got to 12 weeks each time and stopped treatment as you were considered a non-responder?  What genotype are you and what is your viral load?

Are you seeing a gastroenterologist or more of a hepatologist, someone who specializes in treating hepatitis?

Good luck to you.

Not sure if these results are from 2 years ago or not. The rest of your LFT test would be usefull to know as well.
The High Iron is a worry and the low plattelets suggest you are at least F3, but I am no Dr. You should see a hepatologist ASAP.
