Significant Drop in Platelets Count :(

My platelets have dropped from 2.45 lac/cumm to 1.63 lac/cumm after one week of pegasys and riba. I had my 2nd shot of Pegasys today.I do understand the loss of Platelets is significant but is it something to worry about.Is there anyway i can maintain my Platelets count ?

this is mainly caused by interferon, you are well within the safe zone
