I am having the same issue. I am going to address it with my dermatologist on Wednesday. From all of the research I have done, it appears to be simply part of the manifistation of skin rash (excematous dermatitis) that is one of the side effects if the Incivek. Keep using the lotion and maybe mix a little anti fungal cream with it. From what I understand, the surface of our skin loses its ability to mend itself easily on this treatment. Because it gets out of balance, we develop these skin conditions.
i'e had skin peeling off my lips. my study nurse said it's a fungus and to use tinactin. it's an anti fungal cream and it works. good luck. belle
can tinactin be purchased over the counter?

Not knowing exactly what the skin looks like, it is difficult to know what it is. Even then, skin problems are not always easy to diagnose and address. I agree that whatever it is is probably related to treatment. However, If it was me I would not put antifungal meds on it until I saw a dermatologist. In the meantime aquaphor may help.
I had some peeling. I also had big fissures on the palms and the fingers (very painful, usualy, but not always at the bends). The aquaphor did wonders. It ook awhile for the fissures to heal but they did and the peeling pretty much stopped too.
Hope you find a solution.
Vicks vaporub is also an anti fungal and good for toe nail fungus. maybe try on hands and put on cotton gloves to sleep. socks on hands work if u are cheap like me. good luck reva, babs
yes tinactin is sold over the counter. i got mine at target. it also helped with slices on the tips of my fingers. i'd put it on at night and put bandaids on it. they also sell finger condoms. i know that sounds funny but they look like a small condom that slips over the finger. they work better than bandaids. my son (22 year old) saw them and asked who could be that small? it was hilarious. good luck. belle

LOL. Thanks for the good laugh.
PS: I did not know about those finger condoms. That is a great idea. I would put the aquaphor on at night but bandaids made my rash worse so I tried to sleep with my hands and fingers curled and not touching anythig so the aquaphor would not rub off. I should have had a condom!
