What are the side effects of using Telepravin for the treatment of Hepatitis C? Please give some details.

I believe the most common side effects from Tepaprevir that we see here on the forum are: rash, nausea with or without vomiting, rectal issues (hemmorhoids, burning diarrhea, irching ..... also, but not as common severe rectal pain). Both Telaprevir and Ribavirin cause anemia. There are other side effects to treatment due to the three treating drugs (Interferon, Ribavirin, Telaprevir).

With Telaprevir (Incivek) y husband experienced a rash (red, itchy, and welts with some blisters) and diarrhea with anal rectal pain/bleeding (due to internal hemorrhoids and inflamed tissues). He had some mild nausea for a day or two.  Probably more from the Interferon and the Ribavirin, he had fatigue and some symptoms of anemia.
Side effects from triple tx with Incivek were difficult but manageable for him.

Get ready for the hemis.  Preparation H wipes and ointment was a godsend for me.  Instant relief.  Anyway no more Incivek for me.  Stopped taking it two days ago.  My problem is behind me.
