Thursday Dinner Club

Hope this is not a silly idea, but I am going to cook something good from the comfort zone tonight, and humbly invite you folks to join me by doing the same.

Perhaps a Thursday night tradition?

Rules:

1. Dinner should be free of any HCV related conversation and thought. Put it away for awhile and try to enjoy yourself like you used to.

2. Must be one (or more) of your favorite things to eat.

3. Post what you are having so we can all get drooly thinking about it.

Ok, now that I'm home from work and had a chance to eat dinner...this is what we had:

Chicken Fried Steak
Mashed Potatoes
Steamed Spinach
Country Gravy
French Bread
Milk/Water

and for dessert (don't say anything)

1/2 mayonnaise and jalapeno sandwich and a handful of Reeses Peanut Butter Chips!

My husband and mother had peach cobbler.

GREAT POST GOIN ON HERE! Now that I'm done with tx I can actually EAT again. I missed food SO much on tx. The best thing after I was done was that food tasted GOOD again.
RIBS....OH YEAH BABY. Bertha(queen of ALL cows here) says that BADGER Ribs are MUCH better than beef ribs. Smaller and easier to handle and you are eliminating a BIG pest from the environment. She reminds me that you can also use their little Paws for a good keychain.
My printer died today so I took a bologna sandwich and stuffed it in the paper feed part that still worked and called for a print....Well, THAT killed it the rest of the way. It was REALLY neat to watch though. That paper feeder just sucked it right in there. The Catsup looks kinda cool all mixed in with the gears and stuff. It looks kinda like it was "assinated" or something.....all red and "bloody". It was lookin good on it's way to the trash tonight. My new printer is cool though and it saw what happens to BAD printers so I expect that it will "behave" well for awhile.
I got Subway for the kids tonite cuz they like it, but I am having Beef Goulash tonite for myself. I LIKE my own cookin since I'm done with tx now. And I DO have some cheesecake for later. I LOVE that stuff.
We have started a "geat wave" here today and when I went outside this morning it was SO cool. All the birds were chirpin and all. But THEN.......I heard IT.......THE WOODPECKER!! HE'S BACK!!  I thought I had accidentally killed him in my last 4th of July "accident". But NO.....He's apparently got 9 lives! So....we MAY have some "Woodpecker Stew" next Thursday gang! I am NOT gonna live with that bird all summer!!!!!!!!

What is the difference between spareribs, babybackribs and countrystyle ribs? It confused me at the store yesterday. I got spareribs because they were on sale and but didn't know the difference. LL

I put spareribs in the slow cooker for the first time this morning using a friends sauce recipe. Butternut squash, and I can't decide which salad. Mixed greens, strawberries and parmesean with vinagrette dressing or ceasar. LL
