vx-222

I'm going to try and get into the phase 2 trial for telap and vx-222 thats starting in La Jolla Ca
I e-mailed the address they gave but I really don't have any idea how to get into a study.
Any advise is welcome.
Also it doesn't say excludes people with copd but would it say that?
I have a dr appt on the 12th can they help get you into a study?

the number listed for research studies for the hepatology department at ucsd is (619) 543-5459.  perhaps they can direct you to the trial nurse that can answer your questions.

Hi Donna—

That looks like a good study; personally, I think I’d jump on it. I didn’t see anything about COPD in the exclusion criteria, but I imagine they have some generic language in the study to prevent entry if they feel you’ll risk their trial medically. I think the only way you’ll know is to inquire.

I’d definitely discuss this with your doctor on the 12th; ask him if he feels this trial could benefit you, and see if he’ll contact them on your behalf.

I’d also call their trial center at 877-634-VRTX as a follow up to your email; be sure to follow up on things as necessary.

Good luck—
