Hi. I had the exact same problem. After two of my shots of Infergen back in '05, the room looked smoky/hazy, like seeing it through a fog. I went to my ophthalmologist I was required to see every three months during treatment, and was furious when they took me off treatment. They said I had developed retinal hemorrhaging. The good news is that it never happened again. My eyes are fine now. The bad news is that my local doc has refused to ever give me interferon again, so I have to go to a larger city 1-1/2 hours away for treatment. I volunteered to see a retinal specialist every week if they wanted me to, even at my own expense.
Three years later, I'm still waiting. The same doc in the big city couldn't put me in any VX-950 trials because the eye problem automatically disqualified me from any trials, so I have to wait until some of the PI's get FDA approval, which they don't think will happen for 10-15 years? Now my abdomen seems to be distending or something, almost like I'm pregnant. I hope it's not the HepC, but I'm still very angry and not in any mood to go through treatment for what will be the fourth time for me, only to fail once again. I'm keeping healthy except for my two or three sips of wine each night. I know I'm not supposed to, but I'm just so sick of this f*cking disease running my life. I'm going to take IT before it takes me! Childish, I know, but we all survive however we can, you know? What treatment were you and did it work? I hope so!
Hi, I was wondering if you have had your sugar checked? When my sugar got up there I was having vision problems. -Libby
my vision symptoms post-trx are very similiar...
Yes I had the vision problem whilst on treatment, blurry and everything looked hazy, as if I was seeing the world through a fog/mist.
Since treatment I have had to get glasses, especially for night time driving, my eyes weep water and feel as though something is in them.

I had the same experience as Hippygem. I now wear reading glasses (only 1.5). It might have been age as I just turned 50 but my vision went down in a hurry during my 25 week TX and it has not come back.
Morning or should say evening, I think. I’m 5 weeks post TX and had the PCR tests last week and am still waiting on the results LB #140639 and another one that I can’t think of right now, I think it is the std one also will check later. Yeah floater, I’ve also had them for some time and even kind of dangerous when driving, especially while driving, and trying to follow.

I got floaters about 3 months into tx, then my vision became a little blurry also. 6 weeks post tx the blurry vision is either gone or I am used to it. I still have the floaters. I don't think they go away.

Next week - :) !
My thoughts are with you. Go get your eyes checked out, I sincerely hope it turns out okay. We are all getting older, maybe it is just that. But this tx sure takes its toll on our bodies.
When are you getting a post tx PCR? How many weeks post tx are you?
I haven’t got too whacked out and pretty much took things that have happened during treatment and in many instances, have taken them in stride as the sx’s of the meds but this one is bugging the heck out of me. (Inpatient) I didn’t have this problem before TX and can’t really pin it on the meds and yet to some extent, it may have accelerated some predisposed problems waiting to happen. Maybe age related, maybe not who knows but hope it’s just the body readjusting it self back to normal; (whatever that may be), and know that even after the meds have left the systems the havoc placed on the body during TX still remains for some time and thinking it just may be a trade off at this point and just have to give it time to finally settle down, maybe until next week, lol.
Thanks!

Jasper --- My eyes are just starting to readjust --- seriously most of the sides are just very slowly going away --- or reducing... A year plus couple post.
I think this stuff hits some harder than others...
But yeah - depth perception is a little different now... Kind of headachey...
See a optician/optical doc ok?
Maybe nothing - but maybe somethin'
Hugs,

I have heard the problem you mention above many times from people having done treatment.
