my side effects didn't get bad until week 3. started with crapping burning shards of glass, man that was horrible! be sure to prepare for sx BEFORE they start... read on what works for most, and have those things handy just in case! My rash didn't show up until about week 9, not bad until just recently, but I just finished incivek, so should subside some... hopefully. Don't freak out when/if it starts, just have a plan and be prepared!
biggest key: DRINK TONS OF WATER!!! everyday without fail. reduces sx tremendously!
Best wishes on your treatment!
Ooops. Sorry. I wasn't sure but then when I saw how others commented I gathered everyone else understood what you meant ~ so it was my bad.
Yeah, it's a good idea to time plan your shots around when you will be able to recover. ☺
hi
I recently completed my 24 weeks treatment for type 3 begining of febuary. It was very hard especially the dizziness, tiredness and headache and insomnia. I could not work properly and I had to reduce my hours. I was told that 3 month your boby started to ge used to the interferon but it did not hapen . I was also told that it will take 2-3 weeks to get back to normal post treatment, I am still feeling extremely tired all the time and my vision has gone down and I have to wear glasses now.
I don't know how I got the virus, must be from the hospital as I am a nurse.
I have tried to remain positive throughout the treatment , it was when it was completed that I felt more dowwn. The GP was not able to help and they fon't even listen to what you are saying.
I used to be quite active , cycling, martial arts etc and I am 34 years.
I found that Acupuncture helped a lot during and post treatment. i was able to find a good chinese doctor and she has been the most helpful throghout the treatment..
I am hoping to get back to normal soon though and still trying to be positive even if its hard.
Wish you all well

.
I started on Monday and will be changing to Sundays this weekend. The reason is because I am off on Mondays and I alternate weekends off. So if I inject on Sunday I have Monday to recover, hopefully.
I meant to say first dose of incivek. My reba is 180 mcg
What is your daily schedule? Any particular reason you are starting on a monday? Were you referring to one Incivek blister pack?
Tylenol and going to bed will help with the interferon achiness.
Wishing you strength and a positive outcome!
just completed week 12, done with incivek, continuing rib+peg. Have to say, though it wasn't easy at times, it wasn't as bad as I expected (so far)!
Hang in there... you will have ups and downs, but remember the goal... virus free, lifetime ahead of us!
Good luck buddy.Iam in the same boat,Receiving my pegasys & riba.on thursday. My liver is stage one as well,That was a big relief in it self,
Alot of people has gone thru the same tx before, lets do it
Goodluck and best wishes to you. My boyfriend just started treatment this past saturday. He actually hasn't had really that many side affects just said his head felt a little weird and his ashma was acting up a little more than usual. I'm sure there will be times when he hurts a little more. Anyway best of luck and keep us posted :)
Why only one Incivek at 11:30? Isn't it 2 tablets within 30 minutes of 20 grams of fat? Or did your doctor tell you to do it like that?
What dose of Riba are you taking?
