Your post was very nice to wake up to, yes it was really dicey I was even afraid to talk about it because I thought I would hex myself or something.lol My team at the trial is the best, they're really watching out for me and it makes me feel special even though I know in reality that they do that with everyone in the trial.lol It really makes me feel good especially after having to deal with that uncaring GI I was seeing. Unbelievable, he told me that my quality of life would go down the tubes because of my past. He was the pitts and his NP was pretty close to the same. Once I told the NP how I felt about that GI, I got my paperwork to get a 2nd opinion the same day, never used it, but at least I had it. I didn't think that NP wanted to take me on as a patient either, so it all worked out better for everyone. I had a difficult time, being denied by the telaprevir protocol but I kept pushing onward, and thanks to this forum, I found the best place for me. This forum has helped me out in so many ways I couldn't even start a list if I tried, it's never ending. God Bless
I'm so glad I dropped in today ... I just started to cry thinking that you finally made it to tx and into this trial. It has been such a tough fight for you and it was looking really dicey there and now look at you.. here you are in a boceprevir Phase III trial no less. I'm so proud of you for everything you've done to get yourself here.. do I get to day that? :) I'm so glad you got to ditch your other GI and that you're happy with your care team.
You'll do fine on tx. You're already thinking about adjusting your work schedule and you're already rolling with it and therefore you'll do just fine. Take each day as it comes with it's challenges and highs and lows and just ride it out, fret. I've got a special place in my heart for you, my friend and I'll be hoping hard on your SVR and hanging in there through your tx.
You have accomplished so much already in your life .. and now this. All the best to you, fret.
Trish
It's great to wake up to some welcoming words, you ladies are the best. Nygirl, you're truly inspirational, no doubt about it. childangel, I'm txing under Rossaro, so I really feel good about that. Bill, I didn't make it to work today, I'm gonna have to adjust my schedule a little bit, I never used to eat anything before 10:30 or so, but now I gotta take my morning Riba's. Poor preparation on my part is the main reason I missed, plus it turned out to be a day that I won't hear too much krap about missing. I hope you're doing well Kathy73. Have a Great weekend and God Bless you all
I started tx last Friday and had to get the shot at 3:00. I didn't have bad sx but I drank ALOT of water. Just wore me out so much that I spent most of the weekend in bed. Was able to go to work all week though. Am feeling really good today...just in time for shot #2. Wishing you both all the very very best!
Fret,
Great great news I'm so excited for you!
Try and take it easy until you know how you are going to feel and DO drink the water, even though sometimes you gotta chug to get through.
We are all hoping the wishing the best for you as hard as we can.
I'm so glad you're finally on the road..........now just drive straight!

We started on the same day. I did my first shot at the doctor’s office and the same thing happened to me. About 5 hours later I felt like Linda Blair in the exorcist. The chills which were more like convulsions lasted for about one half hour. I slept in an extra hour this morning and made into work. I don’t feel too bad, but moving a little slow. Note to self, never under any circumstances take the shot mid afternoon.
Well I got home and I posted, and then I fell asleep. Around 9 or 10pm I woke up and all hell broke loose. lol I had some really ugly chills, almost peuking ugly. I think my whole problem was not drinking enough water. This is an area that I knew I would have problems with as I normally drink very little water, I certainly didn't think that it would strike out so quickly and I sure didn't think it would hit me that hard.lol I'm ok now, of course the thought of waking up and having to take those Riba's isn't a good thought, but hey I will do what I have to do, it's only for 48wks. One thing I learned being on this forum is that we have absolutely no control over this tx or how it throws out it's ugly head. However, if we eat well and drink plenty of water I think we are better equipped to deal with the sx's and plenty of water will minimize or totally get rid of some of those sx's anyways. So in closing I would like to say that I am very happy to be tx'ed by the trial team I work with. If anyone is considering getting in a Phase III trial and you have the opportunity, you may want to check it out. It was the best move I made. God Bless to all ppl txing and all of those still deciding, or caring for someone who is...
Good luck Fb; I hope your sx's are minimum, the tx a BIG success and that time flows by easily and quickly for you.
Off to the races. And I have a feeling there will many winners in this race. At least I hope so!
Good luck!
glad to hear your on your way will be praying for you.
