More snake oil to steal your money

One Huge Warning
Colloidal silver
.
Marketing Claims for Colloidal Silver
Colloidal silver products are often marketed as dietary supplements with various unproven health-related claims. For example, advertisements may claim that the products benefit the immune system; kill disease-causing agents such as bacteria, viruses, and fungi; serve as an alternative to prescription antibiotics; or treat diseases such as cancer, HIV/AIDS, diabetes, tuberculosis, syphilis, scarlet fever, shingles, herpes, pneumonia, and prostatitis (inflammation of the prostate). And HCV.

.
Colloidal silver can cause serious side effects. One is argyria, a bluish-gray discoloration of the body. Argyria is not treatable or reversible.
,
.

, Thymus extract and colloidal silver are sometimes marketed for the treatment of hepatitis C, but there is currently no research to support their use for this purpose. Colloidal silver products can cause serious side effects (for more information, see the NCCAM fact sheet Colloidal Silver Products).

These companies will use different avenues to sell and promote their products .

One Testimonial or paid endorsement ?
By the way, I also have Lupus - well, at least I HAD lupus. I don’t know if I even still have it. In fact, I doubt it. I think the Mesosilver probably took care of it as well because I haven’t been sick a single day since I started on the Mesosilver.
Mesosilver is just fantastic. It saved my life and I recommend it to everybody!”

Those great enticing ads/endorsements are written just for us folks.

Sorry to rain on ypur party, but fish oil is loaded with mecury and PCB,and centrum brand of vitamins are void of any nutrients, better off with taking Krill oil and taking an organic multivitamin like one made by new chapter...might cost a bit more...but its the same ole adage, you usually get what your pay for.

Susan

I'm still taking my Centrum multi, fish oil and now a ton of Vitamin D thanks to all Mike's links about how great it is for you.

Heck we might not fall for scams but we do know good old science as applied to being healthy. I should add some vitamin C too of course but since you should take it twice a day at least I always forget. I gotta take them all at one time or it's just too late (I keep hoping the fish oil will help my brain but so far nah!)

Maybe I'll take some colloidal silver before Halloween - I always wanted to be a smurfette ;)

Thanks.  I don't do any of those remedies!  One time a close friend of mine convinced me to try one of these herbal teas that she said that an herbalist practitioner swore to her that it would cure Hep C.  I tried it for a day or two but it tasted awful and made me have a stomachache.  I was NOT on treatment at that time.  That was about 6 yrs ago I think.  Anyhow, I told my friend that I couldn't tolerate this and told her that she could come and get her tea because I wasn't going to use it any more.  She got mad at me and actually never spoke to me again.  I wasn't mean to her when I said it.  I told her very politely.  But, she reacted in this odd way, which to this day, has puzzled me.  Anyhow, I am very leery about trying the alternative meds.  I drink green tea and I believe that it is very beneficial and safe.  I also will take Omega-3 Fatty acids (fish oil) as I believe that it is safe.  There is alot of science behind the fish oil and the green tea.  The fish oil was actually recommended to me by the PA at Mayo Clinic because of the health benefits to it, not because she claimed that it would cure me or anything and not to take it when I was doing any treatments, either.  This was like for a liver friendly, in between treatments type of thing.  Susan400  PS:  Not snake oil!  LOL  :p

Ugh, some of that stuff found it's way in to my fridge a few years back, I think it was a free sample, I tried it and it just didn't seem right to me, in the same way the cohosh didn't seem right to me.  Thanks for backing up my instincts with facts, and thanks for posting this.  I too spent many years and a lot of money trying to "cure" myself.
