Boceprevir Trial (Sprint II) 12 Week Post Treatment Update (UND)

Hi All,

I am in the Sprint II Boceprevir trial for previously untreated HCV GT1A. Was in the 28 week arm and stopped treatment in May. Initially went UND somewhere between weeks 5 and 6. I received a phone call today and am still UND at 12 weeks post treatment, all other labs are within normal range. I hope everyone else is doing well in their journey. Take care and God Bless!

Excellent news, looks like to me you have the dragon brought to its knees, almost time to severe the head .I am in the RESPOND-2,(phase 3) trial for slow responders/relapsers only(non responders are exempt).JusT curious ,did you do the "lead in" with the drugs as i did?

How were you SX ?...did you get that awful taste in the mouth in the morning and that weird buzz like sound in your head and ears?and did your BP go up,mine did.

Wishing you well.

Thanks very much for posting.  I was in same arm, finished June 1.  I go for 12 wk. followup this coming Monday and hope I do as well as you!  I had low neuts and platelets at FU4wk, but neuts normalized by wk 8, with platelets still only 111,000 (they were sooo pathetic at EOT and FU4wk that I had CBC with another doctor for 8 wks).  Only hoping for the low range of normal; sick of being a big bruise.  Feel great and obviously you do too.  So glad for you.

Virgocharm, hang in there.  Glad your hgb has normalized; makes such a difference in going on.  I always thought of the addition of the boceprevir as an added guarantee for success and worth the beating an extra drug gives you.

Congratulations!!!!!

So glad to hear of another victory.  Thanks for participating in the trial....anything that gets these drugs to the market sooner is a great thing.  I am so glad it worked out well for you.
