You cleared the virus in 4 weeks- that means you're a rapid responder.  That's  excellent!!  I believe the cure rate is increased with that type of response.  Remember, UND does not mean cured.  Complete the entire round of TX all the way to the end.

Great news! Go the distance and the race is won. Good luck with the rest it's a long hard road but worth the trip if you get to were you want to be.....SVR.

I believe there are some European studies that have shown geno 1's who RVR with a starting viral load of <400,000 IU/mL which is considered low are candidates for a shorter treatment duration and have acheived SVR.  I know you'd love to cut your treatment short with that RVR but if I recall your viral load was 4 million so you don't want to take any chances.

It's looks like this is going to be a one time deal for you, no do-overs necessary so take it to end.  It'll get tougher as time goes on but well worth it for a hepc free life and a healthy liver.

That is great! You are having a great response.

I'm 1a too but I didn't respond that quickly. Unfortunately everything I have read about cutting regular SOC short with our genotype resulted in relapses. Sure don't want to do that.

Hang in there,
Diane

It doesn't get any better than that!  That 4-week RVR is like hitting the lottery, congratulations on such a great response!  If you're genotype 1 it means you won't have to extend to 72 weeks... stats are in your favor that you will get to SVR by doing 48 weeks.
Hope your doctor's appointment goes well tomorrow... with such great results, it's sure to be a good visit!

The best feeling undie in the world! :) ~eureka
