My hair did well the first 36 weeks on treatment. But not anymore. I used to have long, thick hair, and I am really looking forward to getting that back once I am off treatment.

I understand you cannot imagine being sick for such a long time period. Neither could I. Then when I started treating I was surprised, because I discovered treatment is doable. The main thing for me has been the fatigue. It is not fun being tired for a year and a half, but it is doable. The worse sides come and go, so I can handle that as well. I have treated for 72 weeks, so it is an incredibly long time. But you and your body get used to it, and at least for me the side effects lessened as time passed.

I think that is the key to me, I really don't feel sick all the time, just exhausted.

sorry to hear your news. there are 30,000 new cases each year, it is really a tragic piece of news for all of us, but not insurmountable.

SEE at the top of each page there is a Heathpages feature on the right.
I think the Janis web site is helpful for newbies.......on the LINKS forum member recommend.

pick the FAQS there, and the Viral Load there for starters.
some of the info there is outdated but it is better than many sites,
hopefully we will get our own web page with basic FAQS soon.
