acne

hello, to all my new hepc friends,was wondering if anyone else w/ cronic hepc has had a problem with acne ,i'm getting tiny little pimples all over my forhead and cheeks too,i've been useing which hazel on them seems to help a bit,now i've never really had acne even as a teen ,not even sure if its related to hcv ?if anyone can answer me if this is from hcv or what i can do about it ty?

I don't think it's related to HCV as far as I have ever heard.  Try some benzoyl peroxide to dry them out......that is the best thing on the market.

Hi there,

It could most likely be age as well, there is a clindamycin gel that helps way more than the over the counter stuff.  I work in wound care in the hospital, dont use alcohol or anything that will dry it out. That actually slows healing process.    I think the perscription is pretty cheap

I don’t believe this is associated with HCV either; at least it’s not anything I’ve heard of before. If you’re a 32 year old female, hmm… you might ask your primary care doctor about it. Um… hormonal changes might be an issue; you’re partner isn’t using supplemental androgen by chance, is he? Sometimes topical testosterone gel can be responsible for acne. Just a thought.
