A shame you had to quit but I too have heard of patients in tx having to stop early and with genotype 3 becoming SVR with an 80% protocol. I think there was even a study done on it. Long time ago, may be in the archives tho'. best of luck!!
Hey Branko.... eastern european...?
From the reading I've done over the past week there are varying scenarios for geno2/3's to achieve SVR with 16 weeks TX.
best scenario with RVR ( UND at week 4 ) is :
low baseline VL <400,000 IU/ml
no advanced liver fibrosis defined as F3 or greater
younger age and non-black race.
Can you tell us these 4 facts about yourself...?
Even without the best scenario the SVR chances are still decent compared to other genotypes who do a full 48 weeks of P/R therapy.
Sounds like your medical team are about right with the 80%.
Sorry to hear your blood didn't take kindly to the meds but fingers crossed you did enough.

You have a good chance.
I recall a woman who was geno 2 that quit at 4 months and was SVR.
Sorry you have to quit so early. Did your doctor consider rescue drugs, ie. procrit or neupogen to address the low blood levels? I'm not aware of data showing 12+ week trt SVR rates.
"Overall SVR rates were considerably higher in genotype 2 or 3–infected patients who achieved an RVR than among those who achieved a complete EVR (Fig. 2B). The positive predictive value of an RVR in genotype 2 or 3 patients treated for 24 weeks was:
87.1% in those without advanced fibrosis,
81.7% in those with advanced fibrosis, and
78.8% in those with cirrhosis."
Hope it works out ok for you.
