am I surprised at no sides -- let's call it an ominous forebearing. Last time some of my forum friends thought that was a sign that I would relapse. Some people say that. However now we have the miracle PIs and I am hopeful they will help us all over the hump we had before.
That's awsome that you're doing so well so far. Hope it stays that way for you! You will stay in my prayers.
Good for you for an easy start. I've been very fortunate so far (#20) with little to no reaction to the Pegasys shot. It sometimes takes a while for sides to rear their ugly head, so don't anticipate and worry for no reason. Some people breeze throught trt, others have one issue after another. Being in good health and continuing some form of exercise, even if minimal is a big plus. You will start to feel some fatigue in a few weeks, so just adjust to it and do what you can. Best of luck and let us know how you're doing.
good luck on having mild sx. remember to drink lots of water. it really helps. keep us posted. belle
Thank u all so much for your input. Working dog believe me I know things can change in an instant. Just praying I can handle thimgs so ican work. Everyday that I am well is a good day. My heart goes out to you, you have had a rough time.ssshell sounds like you are doing ok. sounds like we are experiencing similar sides. Hope it continues.frijole are you surprised by the minimal sides? I am shocked as.i am not used to taking anything, and I thought I would be sick with my stomach. Thanks guys for answering, lets hope we all do well aj
Congrats on a good start. I have had two shots so far and have relatively few sides. Maybe a little headache and moments of dizzyness but nothing that cannot be handled. In my first treatment I found the end of treatment harder but sort of coasted the first 6 months. This time I am doing PegIntron instead of Pegasys but there does not seem to be much difference in the sides....... so far.
aj..i'm glad you are doing well so far...i kind of hate to say this but don't count your chickens before they hatch...this stuff can do all kinds of things...some may not set in for weeks...although there are some that have almost no problems...i was in real good shape before tx...i remember folks telling me that because i was in good shape i'd do fine...i thought i would too...turns out i'm really affected by the drugs...my body isn't tolerating them well...i was worse at week 3 to 5...by far....now i'm on shot 9 tonight and ok...bad rashes...i get very tired ...some narrow minded mental stuff...my cognitive skills aren't that bad...not too much brain fog yet...we will see how things go...get ready for a tough ride and hope that things stay easy for you...just don't let your guard down and keep an eye on your blood work...good luck...billy
glad to see you on here, I was just going to send you a message. Soooooo happy your doing so well. Keep it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Hopefully I'm next for the friday night dart club.
Hi there, I started treatment last Friday August 26, 11. I also had the severe headache and pain in right side of my lower back, painful to move around and walk but subsiding some today. I have had kidney stones before but 2 weeks ago I had them sonically blasted and past all of them. This pain is different from kidney stone pain. Feels like an injury. Wondered if anyone else had this reaction to injection. Also, flu like symtoms fever, chills. Again, Tylenol and Motrin help. I start Victrellis on week 5. I am told all this is mild and so this is good news. Hopefully, we will be this lucky. Sandy
