What you describe sounds just like what I experienced before I had my bad gallbladder removed. It was excruciating.
If it was me that was experiencing excrutiating right upper quadrant pain going into the back, I would have it checked out by an MD. It may be nothing serious, but it could be something serious that is not related to your Hep C treatment.
But wow four treatments - you're probably feeling the aftershocks of those! :)
When will you check to see if the Incivik is working? At four weeks? Good luck to you. After four treatments you deserve it to break your way this time.
Upper back area sounds like stress. Not to sound glib, but you might look into some stretching exercises. I had the same problem and cured it with some stretching education and physical therapy.
No I don't think your liver would be hurting, You should look into your gallbladder or spleen as the culprit. Maybe your kidneys. You never know with all of these side effects what's really wrong with you and what's a side effect. lol God Bless and Merry Christmas
Thank you...decided this morning that I have got to make an appointment. Not going to stop until they find what ever it is that has caused this pain for this long...(2 years now) Being a tough gal has it's limits ya know? At 49 I shouldn't feel this darn bad for this dang long....lol
god bless you all!
I finished treatment about 2 months ago, I was sick but do not remember haveing pain like you're describing. I can say you still feel ill after the treatment is over. I hope all is well.
I did forget to mention the gallbladder was checked not long before the 5th treatment was started. I had heard how badly the gallbladder hurt and was secretly hoping that was it. Not some worse case scenario such as cancer. My main concern is that the other chemo treatments may have worn out the kidneys...or the liver has gotten worse.
