actually thats a valid question my doctor also assumed that it might be in regard to my anus, but at the moment i am really scared to be honest because it could be cancer i am going to get all my STD test done again in 3 months and then go see whether it is a cancer or what ever it is.
thanks alot ceanothus you have been very helpful and kind
This is a weird question, but have you by any chance been having hemorrhoid problems recently? Now that you reported your doctor's surprise at it being one-sided I am remembering that I have gotten a single-sided tender and mildly swollen lymph node in the groin area 3 or 4 times over the last 20 years and it has always coincided with a hemorrhoid flaring up. Sometimes the lymph node has gotten tender first and then the hemorrhoid appeared. For me, those have always resolved themselves without any treatment after 5-6 days.
I wish you the best of luck. I am hoping the doctors find the cause of your issue and that it is nothing serious.
All the best.
Hector
thanks for you info went to a doctor, doctor was confused and said it not STD or STI related specially in that region and was concerned about why only one of the lymph node was swollen and not any others and wanted me t check with surgical doctor
According to your hepatitis C test you are not infected with hepatitis C.
Your symptoms are not related to hepatitis C.
The lymph nodes in the femoral area/groin may swell from an injury or infection in the foot, leg, groin, or genitals. In rare cases, testicular cancer, lymphoma, or melanoma may cause a lump in this area.
See a doctor soon.
Go luck.

I think another HCV test would be a waste of time and money, but if it makes you feel better maybe its worth it on those grounds - that's your call. I do think you should see your doctor about the swollen lymph node however. I think anything like that that lasts more than a week warrants investigation. My HCV never caused swollen lymph nodes in me but there are plenty of other problems that could cause that. Most are minor but its still a good idea to look into it.
"...is it possible that my lymph node swelling is due to HCV and should i get tested again ."
Doubtful, but test again if that will set your mind at ease. I would see a doctor ASAP if I had a possible infected lymph node in that area.
