coughing with sovaldi-olysio

HI
My first 4 weeks of sovaldi-olysio were a breeze. No side effects at all.Weeks 5 and 6 have brought on the cough I used to have when I was doing the peg-riba and the peg-riba incivek. Also having some headaches now and insomnia.Does it take 4 weeks for this combo to build up in your system where I will be dealing with side effects the rest of my treatment? This is just a question, not a complaint. This combo is still a day at the beach compared to peg-ribavirin-incivek or any of the other poisons I have endured on this journey.

Hi gp7852,

Did you get any news on your blood work? I am a little sceptic so as well. I will start my meds in Monday.

My md didn't tell me that but someone on another support group mentioned they heard no Seville oranges, so I am not taking any OJ either to be safe

My two week blood work was 46 hadn't cleared either, I  cleared at 4 weeks, ( am now at 7 weeks, I got mixed up, 5 weeks to go)

my VL was low, 400,000, even though fibrosis high
I have other auto immune diseases that create liver and other problems, Primary Bilary Cirrhosis, hypothyroid, etc

Give it time, they say everyone clears on this (and then only 6 or 7. % relapse possibly)

I have had hep C, 43 years, and I am exhausted, and want it gone already

I am trying to do everything 100% correct:

Take pills same time everyday, never miss a pill

Take with food

No grapefruit or citrus

I take No other meds other than my thyroid meds( not even OTC or vitamins, other than occasional Benadryl cleared by PA)

Rest, Keep normal schedule

I just think you should tell MD about your cough cause you could be sick

Have you cleared taking sovaldi-olysio?If so at which week? I am very nervous.I am geno 1a,a lifetime non responder.I started out with my VL at 1.7 million. My 2 week bloodwork had it down to 20.I do not have my 4 week blood results yet.The reason I am nervous is while I was doing peg-ribo and incivek my VL went down to 160 which is nothing.I was expecting to be clear on my next bloodwork but it went back up to 11,000 and continued to rise until they took me off it.I was crushed so I will not allow myself to get excited this time until I see it in black and white.

I just have mild headaches, fatigue and occasional insomnia ( like 4 times)
5 weeks treatment

I think you should call you md about the caught etc

You may have a cold or bronchitis
I have never heard of anyone having that without RIBA
