Shoot obviously I mean to say get your bloodraw the day of your 13th shot....
PC you have it right you are supposed to get your shot the day of your 13th shot - before you take your shot of course. That IS the right schedule for a 12 week PCR (because you have just finished week 12 and are heading into 13). It's perfect.
Thanks so much all. I've counted the weeks a hundred times it seems. Just wanted confirmation, and you all gave it to me. Thinking I sweated out me riba this morning running in Phoenix, humidity has awful. Awaiting the rains and an undect. PCR.
Judy
You have it right. We both get the 12 week labs this Friday. It will be fine.
Diane
I counted the weeks for you. If you started on 4/23 then this Friday 7/16 is when you should have the blood draw for 12 week PCR.
Hi Pcds...don't have time to take out my calendar but I hope you do your PCR at the conventional time for this biggie. Count it out again and make sure of your dates.
I understand the psychology of delay (I think Charm was prone to that but post-tx!).
In the case of the twelve week, go for it and do it the day of your thirteenth shot but before the shot.
You'll have other opportunities to delay, believe me - I delayed my post-tx PCR and that worked great for me.
Really, the science is not in place in a hard and fast way that enshrines that twelve weeker timing to absolutely determine treatment decisions. It is, however, a convention based on years of clinical practice, so why not stick with it?
You're going to beat this thing, just you watch and see. In the meantime, it's oh-so nerve-wracking, I know...gosh, I know. I folded a thousand paper cranes during my tx and most of them were done at times like these!
Warmest wishes,
Susan
Good luck Judy- You never know, you might have cleared at 8 weeks and one day.
I am rooting for you as I am sure we all are.
Dave
that would be fine. like copyman said, one week is not going to change anything.
This Friday July 16 is the day of my 13th shot I think and plan to have my pcr that morning which is the completion date for my 12th week of treatment. Does this sound right? It's a big marker, just don't want to mess it up.
Is there a reason why you cannot do it on the day of 13th shot? As much as you have stressed over this why put it off? One week is not going to change the results. You are either Und or not.
I would do the 12 week test on schedule.
best of luck
