$440 for a viral load test? wao, that is alot of money for a student like me, especially when i work part time and making $8 an hour, hic.
it been 10 weeks since my ear pierce, and i don't have any symptoms except i been nmot able to sleep well lately, waking up in the middle of the night, i guess it due to me being stress from coming back to school, load of classes and work.
can you tell me more about symptoms you get from hepatitis C so that i know what to look out for, is loosing sleep, wake up in the middle of the night a symptom?
Here in FL at Quest, it costs about 440.00 to get a viral load test...not sure how much it costs to get antibodies checked.
My daughter and I went last weekend to get ears pierced at Piercing Pagoda. Before going, I checked their policies and proceedures online. The earring they use for piercing sits in it's own plastic casing that is the part that actually touches your ear. That plastic casing fits into the gun...so the gun, in our case never touched us.
Maybe check the website or go back to the place you got pierced at and clarify???
how much it is to get a test? i'm a student and i have no health insurance?
i'm just scare about the dirty gun though, cuze they use those gun to force the earring studs through my ears, i'm sure the studs is clean since i saw her took out of the brand new box, but the gun just seem dirty. u know how much it cost if i go to a hospital and ask for a HCV blood test?
If a test will put your mind at ease, get one.
HCV is passed by blood to blood contact.
It seems unlikely to pass via earpiercing but I wouldn't say its impossible.
