Terca you know viral load goes up and down and up and down and really doesn't mean anything except when you are treating as a monitor of how quickly you are responding or not.  Dont let it freak you out.

I had a viral load of 1,300,000 IU/mL prior to treatment.  Treated 72 wks and failed.  Three month post tx viral load was 137,000 IU/mL and low normal ALT & AST.  1 year post treatment viral load was 400,000 IU/mL and again normal ALT & AST so failed treatment does not mean the viral load or fibrosis will increase or progress and faster.  I've think I've had this disease at least 40 years and first biopsy showed late stage 3.  I'll let you know what the results of my second biopsy are in November.

apples000 if you look @ terca profile page you will see by the notes that terca has had some tx.

apples000. I cannot offer any advice on that, But thank you for awnsering a question to something I was wondering about. The effects of tx. I was wondering if tx failed if it was possible for the viral load or diease to progress @ a faster rate.  Now Im thinking perhaps it is. hum
