be careful...low hgb can cause your heart rate to go way up...mine is almost always 42to 52....on tx it was always high...lots of the time 90 to 110...you can have a heart attack if you push yourself when your resting heart rate is high and hgb low...i would lay down...then sit up......then stand up .....each time taking your bp....see what happens....and whats your blood work look like? to really get good help here i would post more info..
Why exert yourself. Why not take it slowly. Breathing, sitting in your chair, do leg lifts, put your arms in the air and reach. You can slowly exercise and it is just as benefical. I practive yoga which is just stretching and I am always sock-dancing in the kitchen. Just doing dishes can wear me out...so I take it really slow. Sometimes just taking care of yourself and your home is excercise enough. I have a small dog I walk and we try to go around the lake twice a day which equals two miles...sometimes we just make it to the path and have to turn back. In better weather I sit down several times in short walks. Live on second floor and have 10 steps up...10 steps down....just bringing in groceries is a trial. Have to balance my days with what needs to be done. Good Luck. !
I had problems with low wbc, never rbc.
The only time I got out of breath, was related to ribavirin. They lowered my dosage and within 2 weeks I was no longer left breathless when walking.
Often the day after my shot, I could barely make it off the couch. But most days I walked a minimum of one mile. I have no question in my mind that it helped my body to deal with both the meds and bouncing back after tx.
Another good thing to do is practice slow deep breathing exercises at home. Do yoga or gentle stretching.
Good luck.
