Always good to eat healthy when you can but sometimes treatment can cause nausea and alter your appetite quite a bit so sometimes it's eat what you can tolerate as well.  I ate noodle soup and crackers for awhile and at least it was nourishment and didn't make things worse.  Fat with the riba, as the others have said - I'd use peanut butter, quick and easy - and ice cream when necessary!  :)  Good luck with this and keep your chin up.

Not too late at all.  Its up to you.  It has to be your decision.  None of us knows how long we will be on this earth.  I say if you want to do it, do it.  And if it works then you will be better off later on in life.  Of course, Im 50 so I dont think you are too old for anything.  But I posted on another thread that one of my grandmothers lived to be 96 and the other one will celebrate her 100th birthday this year.  So if that is any indication of my longevity, Im only half way done with this body.  And it may be the same for you. Good luck.

yes i second dianes advice. read the riba insert and u will see it works best with food and the food should be high fat. obviously healthy fats are better altho it was not clear. i ate lots of full fat yogurt as diane said and will probably find my cholesterol is effected but the important thing for now is riba concentration. i had to point this out to my hepatologist! beyond the riba issues clearly the best foods are those we think of as healthy with the exception of iron containing foods. i was not drawn to vegies during treatment, preferring cheese and dairy so i had to force myself. frequent small meals are best too. lots of water too.

Make sure you eat a source of healthy fat when you take your Ribavirin. Drink plenty of water.
Fresh fruit and vegetables are easier on the liver than processed foods. Smooth food like yogurt has helped me a lot.
