You should definitely ask your doctor for anti-depressants. The documentation that comes with the Pegasys warns of depression, and anger is one of the symptoms. If the doctor you are going to doesn't see this as something that needs to managed, you need to find another doctor.
I'm on Effexor, and it does help a lot with preventing every little thing from being irritating, but there is still and under current of irritation in the background of my brain that wants to jump out if I'm not careful. But I'd be totally a screaming maniac without it.
You don't need this struggle to deal with alone... find somebody who will help you.
Asad,
I would first try non-drug mood-changers. All drugs come with side-effects, and drugs do interact with each other.
Do what you like to do, drop the annoying and stressful stuff.
If you believe you have a good sense of humor, I'd recommend 1) watch very carefully (at least) the first episode of "Black Books" (2000-2004) and 2) buy and read the book Manny was reading in that episode (yes, it exists and you can get it from Amazon.com).
I was on citalopram all the way through treatment and easy got off it after treatment. Most of us have been on some kind of antidepressant while on treatment. They work on anger, depression, mood swings etc.
You should definitely discuss this with your doctor. ASAP! It takes about a week or 2 until they work, but you will be so glad when they do

Interferon causes mood disorder in many patients. The mood problem may be depression (sadness) or irritability (anger). An antidepressant medication can correct either problem and after the interferon is stopped the antidepressant can be stopped also.
