Congrats on becoming clean, really don't take this so hard. First thing is to have a PCR to be sure you just don't have the antibodies. If in fact you do have the active virus at your age by your profile the odds are very good you have little if any liver damage. Your MD is wrong as there is a cure, plus if he felt the meds were causing more sickness then the disease and there was no cure why would they even be treating people?
Have the PCR run and if you have a viral load then get a referral to a doctor that specializes in Hep C... Just take a deep breath and calm down, it's not the end of the world...... Really
I heard from my MD that its not cureable cause its a virus
Plus the meds are usually causing more sickness than the disease itself is that true? Im in a total mess, just done with my drug addiction been clean for 4 Weeks now never inject might got it from my gf who is in jail now, studying the board, work OMG im at the lowest point in my life now. Sorry I need to vent out . I hope u guys understands
I agree with can-do-man that Hepatitis C is becoming increasingly easier to cure. People are being cured everyday and no longer worry about Hepatitis C. Get your PCR/Hepatitis C viral load test and in the mean time educate yourself about Hepatitis C.

Have a PCR run, and yes HCV can be cured, as a matter of fact it is becoming easier to cure every year.......
20 percent clear Hepatitis C on their own. The only way to confirm if you DO
have hepatitis C is by a viral load test. That will tell if is HVC is active or not.
