This site is confusing....

This site is confusing and I hope that I get used to getting around on it soon. I have left comments that I think are general comments and then realize that I am posting my comments in response to somebody elses comment. That is truly embarrassing and I apologize to those of you who are asking, "who is this guy, and why is he posting his comments and airing his views in response to my concerns?" I design websites and would think that I could navigate around here and know what I'm doing, so again I apologize if I have accidently responded to your comment with a comment of my own that does not address your concerns. I'll get used to it eventually....just wanted to explain so that I don't look like a moron or for anyone to think that I think its all about me.....

Yeah, I'm new here also, and I'm sure I've done worse. What I usually do is this: in the "To" box up there, I post the name of the original poster, if I am answering their question.
But....If I am replying to one of the other posters, I hit the blue "reply" button, on the bottom right side of their square, and then that persons' name pops up.
What you may have done, is went to post to the original poster, but hit the reply button of one of the other commenters...an easy mistake : )  Just make sure you check who's name pops up in that bar up there  ^^^^

You have not done a thing wrong, it does take time to get used to posting questions on the Hep C Site vs the Hep C Social.
We have people from other forums post here in error or is it a moderator trying to help, who knows? LOL
We all welcome you to the forum and please don't worry, I once posted a long post and halfway through realized I had the CAPS key stuck on.  I was so tired from tx that I just could not go back and retype.  A couple of weeks ago I posted to a 5 year old question, did not even realize, got caught up on the questions I was searching for and did not realize til Hawk told me.  It was embarrassing though also funny
This is great site for help.  You can go to your home or profile page to see where exactly you posted.  You are doing just fine and as WillBB said "welcome to the asylum"  Cando had it wrong, I get the checks :)

Hello and welcome, as long as you make the checks payable to can-do-man you can post anywhere you want, whenever you want. The hell with the rest of them...:)

Hey, I have left a comment and then later realized I did not address the OP's (original poster) concerns. Lots of us have. Usually we go back and say, "Sorry I just reread my post and noticed I didn't answer your question." It doesn't mean your first response was worthless.

Navigating any kind of Internet forum takes time like anything else. I am sure you will be fine. MedHelp is one of the more diplomatic forums I have ever been involved in. My experience is that it takes a lot to offend the folks on here.

Yes, we've been watching you very closely and have decided to put you on an academic probation for this semester.  We'll expect four 500 word essays over the next month.  haha.

Each forum has their own style and way of presenting thread topics and ways to respond.  I think you'll find this one to be rather easy to use once you poke around some.  There's also a social forum for off topic threads:

http://www.medhelp.org/forums/Hepatitis-Social/show/76

and if you haven't seen it, the list of acronyms is very helpful to follow this information.

http://www.medhelp.org/posts/Hepatitis-C/This-site-is-confusing/show/1716957

You will find this forum to be a great resource.  Good luck as you begin tx.

this is a great site with lots of help......if you have a question ....start a new post.....takes a little time to get use to...like all forums, posts as well as answers can be misleading....and for folks on tx it can be very easy to take things the wrong way when really everyone is doing their best to help...after a while you get to know the experts...as well as regular people doing tx...good luck...billy

I absolutely agree with what you're saying. I've been on this site a while now and still feel the same.

So glad you posted an apology, we were really judging you harshly there for a minute ;)  We have people come on that respond to 10 year old posts all the time.

Ninezero8, Welcome to the discussion group-

The orangey-brown ‘Post a Question’ button near the top of the page opens a new thread; the green ‘Post a Comment’ button in the lower portion of the page tags comments on to the existing thread. Does that help any?

Willbb-

:o)!
