granisetron for nausea?

Is anyone using granisetron for nausea?
I'm finding that taking ondansetron isn't working very well for me anymore, especially in the mornings.
I take 8mg about a 1/2 hour before the ribavirin plus a small snack.
The granisetron is suppose to work up to 9 hrs. per dose, which may give me better control in the mornings.

My NP doesn't want to try granistron, so I thought I'd ask others on tx.

I've been taking ondansetron for about 14 weeks.
Lately it just isn't working very well.
For some reason the ribavirin is kicking my *** in the mornings.........

So how long did it work for you and when are you starting the granisetron?  Do you know if your doctor has given these meds to other patients on tx or is it just a hit and miss approach?  I think it's great that he's willing to look outside of the box but I've never heard of either one being used.  That doesn't mean much tho' b/c I'm here to be educated as well.  Those are normally cancer patient drugs right?

Someone should come around and know something.
