I just finished treatment on Monday, and I'm guessing I lost 40% hair volume. Kids complain that no matter how hard I try, a hair makes it's way to the dinner table .   My eyelashes are down right amazing.  My eyebrows itched the entire time, but they didn't fall out. Hair on arms grew like crazy as well.  I actually have started growing hair back that lost from the beginning I am guessing because I have "sprouts" about 1.5-2".  I'm hoping that things come in a wee bit darker? LOL  A girl has to hope!  I hate washing my hair because of how much comes out each time.  I've always had hair so thick that I had to have it continually thinned.  Because of that, I just look about normal now to everybody else.  I feel bad for those of you that didn't have it so good, but hey, we all persevere and rise above all of this, and are the stronger for it.  I, for one, am not remotely close to the same person that started - AND I AM FINALLY HAPPY!!! Had the courage to tell jerks where to go, a much needed trait I desprarately needed (though some would disagree...to bad). Now I'm surrounded by people that don't treat me like dog-do. Okay, I could go on forever with all this new found happiness and energy, so I'll leave it at that.

Go have a wonderful day and know that that finish line is right there! Try not to think about it to much or the days will drag on.  Just start thinking about all the things you will do when you finish.  I just opened up some CHRISTMAS presents, yep, didn't do it.

I always think it's a bug too! Lol. Gerbils you crack me up. Speaking of crack - I think my hair looks like that's what I'm taking. Yeah n the ear thing.. I just tuck the sraggly mop behind em. I make a ponytail w one Bobby pin. All the staff at work are asking about the wig.. Sigh. I don't mind it, but I itch! I out it on in the parking lot at school. Rip that sucker off right there too.
Don't you love the success stories of new growth tho? Hang in there.. Karen :)

The first time I did tx I lost at least 1/3 of my hair, maybe more.
When it first grew in, it was baby fine. That was quickly followed by my normal thick hair. It takes time but it will grow back.

BTW: This time I've shed even more, it drives me crazy. I can't wash a dish without picking out strands of hair. They are absolutely everywhere, and still falling. Knowing they'll return doesn't make it less annoying.

We're lucky we had enough to begin with that we aren't wig shopping.

hair on my head VERY thin, I had very thick straight hair and now my ears poke out :(  I used to wear it in a short bob kind of thing and now its just flat and uch........... eyelashes that without mascara hit my glasses and eyebrows are GONE except for like very inside so ya pretty much not a real vogue look thing going on but looking at the big picture small price to pay.

I am sorry about your hair. I know the feeling. I finished three months ago as of Mar 01. I kept shedding after stopping for a while - weeks even unfortunately. The truth is we never stop shedding completely because it is normal to lose hair. I have heard as much as 125- to 150 hairs a day for a normal person. After treatment if we have lost a lot of hair we can't help but be very aware of any hair that we continue to see falling. When does the abnormal loss stop and the normal loss stop? It is hard to say. For me, I think it it slowed down within a few weeks. I didn't start noticing the new growth for about 8 weeks (baby hair filling in.) But I feel really good except for joint pain. I am happy and I  hope you will be too. The hair under my arms stopped growing during treatment and still hasn't grown at all. Nada, zero, zip, zilch. Go figure.

Best wishes! Hope to see you SVR!
