Dear friends,
my child is sick with HCV genotype 1b. Does anybody know whether harvoni is allowed  for children? I heard that some trials were taking place in Gilead  but i dont know the results.

I am taking Harvoni w ribavirin but am not post transplant but have some info for you.

There was a clinical trial for post transplant transplant patients called SOLAR-1 here is a pfd of a power point slide show of the results achieved:

http://depts.washington.edu/hepstudy/presentations/uploads/143/solar1_post_transplant_ledipasvir_sofosbuvir.pdf

Also per the American Association of Liver Diseases (AALSD) Recommendations for Testing, Managing, and Treating Hepatitis C

UNIQUE PATIENT POPULATIONS: PATIENTS WHO DEVELOP RECURRENT HCV INFECTION POST–LIVER TRANSPLANTATION

http://www.hcvguidelines.org/full-report/unique-patient-populations-patients-who-develop-recurrent-hcv-infection-post%E2%80%93liver

Recommended regimen for treatment-naive and -experienced patients with HCV genotype 1 or 4 infection in the allograft, including compensated cirrhosis.

Daily fixed-dose combination of ledipasvir (90 mg)/sofosbuvir (400 mg) with weight-based RBV (1000 mg [75 kg]) for 12 weeks is recommended for patients with HCV genotype 1 or 4 infection in the allograft, including compensated cirrhosis.

So the recommendation for you without knowing anything about you and bearing in mind I am not a medical professional from the AASLD is 12 weeks Harvoni & 1000mg or 1200mg Ribavirin depending on your weight.

The treatment is the treatment has little to do with when you become UND.

Your likelihood of success depends entirely on how much liver damage has happened to your new liver, your genotype, and if you treated for hep c in the past.

if you are F0-F3 or Child Pugh score "A" in clinical trials the result for 12 weeks of treatment was 96% and for 24 weeks 98% SVR 12. The results were lower for Child score "b" and lower still for Child score "C"

Of course the best source of answers to your questions is always your treating physician.

Good luck on treatment
