head ache fever

Hi this is great sight you all are wonderful this is week 13/24 I have not had to many good days becase of sever fatigue head aches an each timeI take the Rib pill I get this fever with in hour or so it drains you.. Sweats not sleeping and no appitite the taste in my mouth is horrable.   The days I take inj. seems to be easiest  so far. So very thankful for that. So very hard to drink all the water some times when I drink it it feels like it is coming back up. So far blood work is holing up. Go back to Dr tomorrow . Is this the same for most of you............I know some work  I dont se how I could.

most all I had was get kinda tired want sit down if I could . I was working 2 days week that was kinda tough but had a job where the klady had know me all her life and she let me sit do lot paper work at times and it sure help.
God Bless Good good luck with your treatment  and lot pople here will try to help u through .The support here is womnderful and some here know more than the Dr .'s and that is truth.

when i read about the side effects from tx i already have 95% of what is talked about from the hcv. severe weakness, fatigue, sweats, cant sleep, generally achy all over. I have been this way for more than 2 yrs now and rarely have any days where it litens up.
Did anyone else feel like this before tx. Anyway I am thinking tx will be about the same as i feel now. anyone similar?

Thank god for the good news. You are in the norm which i am sure is always a relief to know during tx. I haven't started tx yet but it is in the works for me. Good luck on the next viral load reading I am sure it is lower. i was told that if you have side effects from tx then it's working.

I went to dr today he said fever is normal with the rib . He said some patient have it during whole treatment. The night sweats he said some had whole time others they kinda   leavled out over treatment. We talked about the  no energy thing he said that affected some worse than others. Did blood work an viral load so praying for und   God Bless and Thanks to all of you .

I am so glad u finished. I pray it never shows up again. I have had sweats some fever and head aches since beginning. I though after body adjusted to meds it be easier but my is same. No real, bad side affect so far Thank God. I have bad fatigue but God is helping me and I will  make.

I just did my last shot #24 on Wednesday and I had 102.3 fever on Friday and 101.7 on Saturday. This has been the hardest week of all, just awful. :(

I have had sweats realy bad they are not as bad as they were. I been taking   1/2 ibuprofen and it goes down in about hour. I go back tomorrow and I will ask about the fever. Still praying for a UND agin becase it is what we all shoot for at this point. Thanks to you all.

I started drinking a vitamin zero water each morning.  It helped with the taste and was a break from all the water which seemed to help.  I didn't notice fever with the riba but I did notice riba sx more after incivek stopped.  I occasionally took melatonin natural supplements to help me sleep and that worked for me.  Hang in there!

Husband really felt the isolated sfx of riba when he went of INC for a few weeks.  Still definitely feels the afternoon dose, but it's much better.   No fever though...

I am not a big fan of the ribavirin either. I too have been getting a low grade temp after taking it.usually goes away in an hour or so with a little sweat. And it seems like my mouth and lips have been set on fire shortly after I take it. I have noticed this more after being off the Incivek ....weird.
For the water aversion, which I have had off and on, I find that the colder the water, the easier it is to get it down. So all bottled water now stays in the fridge. Or I'll fix one of those big 20oz cups full of ice with water or lemonade and sip on it constantly thought a straw.
I would just mention all of this to your doctor next visit.

I agree with ceanothus. A fever as well as the other symptoms exactly after you take your Riba seems off. I am not sure how to trouble shoot this one since it seems like you have isolated all the variables. I would mention it at my next appointment just to see what can be done. Maybe take Tylenol? I always forget to take it but I have felt better the times I have. Just a thought.

Fever continuing this long, and after each Ribavirin dose, doesn't sound right. I had fever on and off for the first two weeks only, though I have continued to get night sweats every night for all 24 weeks so far (I'm on for 48 weeks). The night sweats are really annoying, but daily fever sounds worse. Be sure to tell your doc about it tomorrow, and be sure to let us know what he/she says.
