I'm sorry to hear of your relapse. :(
I didn't clear during treatment with Victrelis/ Ribavirin/Interferon in 2012 and remember how devastated I was. I just finished 12 weeks of Sovaldi/ Ribavirin and Interferon and am in that post treatment/waiting to checkVL place.
I am hopeful to reach SVR, but am scared I will not. If not, I will grieve again and then get my fight back on. We are all in this together- every SVR and relapser. We support each other in the fight.
Keeping you in my thoughts...
I am very sorry that you relapsed. I know it is devastating. There are new treatments coming. There will be something for you and you will attain SVR. Hang in there.
Sorry to hear of your relapse I know exactly how that feels! Never give up I just finished Savadi/Olysio tx. This was my 9th tx and I finally SVR! The good thing is there is so much research and new drugs all the time. Hang in there and Never Give Up!
thanks for your compassion, it really helps to stay focused, and to help me to never give up people with this disease are really the only ones who can understand Iam so glad I found this forum best wishes to you cooderbrown..

Please don't give up on the hope, as people have already stated that new meds are on the way with even better chances of getting SVR and staying that way.Good luck for the future and please keep us us informed. I'm so sorry for your relapse but you just need to get treated with the new "miracle" drug at the end of the year
It should be a lot easier on you than your last experience
New and better treatment is coming out this fall. Don't give up! You can beat this. Hepatitis C treatment is on fast track and getting better everyday. Stay connect here and talk to your doctor about new treatment options.
Best to you
It means you have Hepatitis C. You had a relapse.

My doctor told me that EVERYONE on Sovaldi will attain an undetectable viral load during treatment. That's why he didn't test mine anytime after the 4-week check. He said he would expect an undetectable viral load at 8 and 12 weeks after starting Sovaldi, so there was no reason to test it.
My understanding is that most people who relapse after treatment with Sovaldi will do so within the first 12 weeks after ending treatment, and my doc says this is why a viral load test done AFTER you stop taking Sovaldi is more important than any viral load test done DURING treatment.
Again, cooderbrown, I'm really sorry about your relapse. I hope your next treatment attempt is successful.
