ok guys I had a GI appt today and he got offended when I asked for a referral for a hepatologist and changing my primary to hastings indian hospital, asked for chantix to help stop smoking said I could ask for that there and also a referral told him about my pain, blisters and he wrote me a prescription for bentyl which if he had looked at my chart i already have I do not have irritable bowel syndrome...geesh! my primary care Dr referred me to him and Ive heard nothing but horror stories about her and they all bill medicade. Oh and when looking at my chart for billing he charged medicade 70.00 dollars for all this advice hector you was rt I ran from there so fast my hair was on fire...LOL! Got to get a joyful attitude about this because Im not a quitter but a survivor and fighter and they will not beat me down for wanting the best care i can get.thanks for all your support and glad i hooked up with this forum. Love to all-

I had a similar experience with the first GI I saw.  He told me there was no treatment for HCV.  This was about a year and a half ago!

So yeah, I ran from there, too.

I ended up with a good GI and hepatologist...  I'm hoping you'll find yours, too!
