pain, tiredness in arm alongwith numbness

im on 19 week now. For last 20 days im facing numbness problem in both arms. and now for last 3 days sometimes i feel little pain in wrists and feel tired while typing on the computer. i have to stop typing after sometime. im taking mecobalamin 500 mcg thrice a day and a tablets which contains some calcium, potassium, Proteins and some other minerals like zink. mgnsm etc with doc advice, which is helping little. After taking shot it gets severe. I also posted a question in neurology forum. Doc of that forum said that numbness due to interferon is reversible and there is not chance of permanent damage. Is it true????? loose stool (IBS) makes the numbness and tiredness worst. i m facing this problem since the start of tx. i have also sleeping problem for a week. i can hardly sleep for 2 hours. once im awake there is chance to return to sleep again.  Can anybody give me helpful advice??? What should I do for this numbness. Should I go to physiotherapist????????

Did you ever find out what Gen. Type you have and how long you will be treating?

You need to start exercising. Start by simply raising your hands from your side out to level with your head and other simple exercises. As you improve, add light weights. If you just lie around, you're going to continue to have these problems.

Numness and tiredness are usual sx of tx. Me too felt partial numbness but it doesnt lasts more than 2 days. Pain in the wrist & ankles are also very common sx and i am feeling these too from the 2nd week to tx till now, some after shot this pain become very sever and i have to take pain killer like Calpoll/panadol and it helps to reduce the pain. Some time without any reason i feel pain in my shine bone and it lasts for 1-2 days.

Pain in thaighs is also a problem which has accompanied all the tx. My doc says its normal during tx. However, my personal feeling is these pain become more severe when i reduces the water intake. I have to reduce water intake due to excessive urination especially in a cold day. In these days too, normally i have to go for urination atleast 10-12 times a day.

Sleepless nights, another tx problem and most people use sadative for this with the recomendation of doc, Thanx God i havnt felt it much, i have 2-3 weeks in which i can sleep only for 2-3 hours and was very very irritated and exhausted in the day time but it went automatically. My sleep is reduced to 5 hours now ( before tx it was around 7 hours and very peaceful) but it will get better after EOT

however, as you mentionedthat you are feeling numness throughout the month, its serious. whats the exact condition of that numness, dont you do any thing, do your arms feel dead or senseless, cant you move them easily ????? how long this numness lasts in a day or it is with you 24 hours??? Go to your doc and discuss this with him.
