hepititis c

why do i have constant pain in my right side,i had a liver biopsy done in 1973 in the army and i have had the pain since.i feel the pain front and back.i take a narcotic for back pain and valium for muscle relaxation and anxiety,along with other mental problems.

It could be ur spleen, gallbladder, or pancreas. U should have an ultra sound done to determine the real problem. God bless an keep u.

I agree with OH. A doctor is the only one who can diagnose the cause of your pain for the last 39 years. Imaging can be performed to see if there is any anatomical reason and other tests could help to pinpoint the cause.

It is doubtful that your pain would be related to your liver, as most pain in the liver would have manifested itself long ago.

Unfortunately there are so many things that can cause right quadrant pain it is beyond our scope here as this forum provides information about the hepatitis C virus and liver disease caused by the virus.

There are various reasons you could have pain in your side but from what you just wrote, nobody could tell you why you have pain. It is doubtful it could be from a biopsy in 1973.
